For the third year in a row the Born-Free Vintage Chopper and Classic Cycle show is growing! On June 25th, 2011 people from all over the world will converge at Oak Canyon Ranch (behind Irvine Lake in scenic Santiago Canyon, about 30 minutes from the 405 and 55 freeways near John Wayne Airport), for one day filled with old choppers, vintage bikes of all makes, stockers, retired racers, etc!
This year’s event is still FREE to participate in or to attend, bring your friends or family. There will be bikes from all over the world, along with over 50 vendors, not to mention an invitational bike builder showcase, and someone will take home a full rebuilt 1946 Harley Knucklehead chopper.

Great news everyone!
Effective July 1, 2011, the one percent sales and use tax rate increase that was approved with the state budget and effective April 1, 2009, will expire, lowering the statewide base tax rate from 8.25 percent to 7.25 percent. In areas where there are voter-approved district taxes, the total tax rate related to sales and purchases will be the statewide base tax rate of 7.25 percent plus the applicable district tax. (See the California Sales and Use Tax Rates by County and City).
For example, current San Diego County tax rate is 8.75% but it will become 7.75% effective July 1, 2011! City of El Cajon, La Mesa, National City and Vista have slightly higher rate, check your local office for more detail.
